Namibia

Namibia is a vast land of mesmerizing landscapes complemented by an astonishing array of natural wonders. In the west, the Namib is an ancient desert that runs the entire length of the country’s wind lashed coastline. To the north, you will find world renowned wildlife-rich reserves and from the country’s lush panhandle lies the spectacular Victoria Falls. Wherever you find yourself in this breath-taking region of Southern Africa, be sure to take a 4×4 and camp under the starriest skies in the Southern Hemisphere.

Currency is the Namibian Dollar (N$). Of note the Namibian Dollar is pegged to the South African Rand (1:1) and so the Rand is also accepted as legal tender throughout the country.

There are up to 30 languages spoken in Namibia. Thirteen have been recognized as national languages which includes two Khoisan click languages. The three main Indo-European languages spoken widely in this country are Afrikaans, English and German.
